TRASH AND RECYCLING WILL BE PICKED UP ON MONDAY'S Trash and recyclables are to be placed curbside NO EARLIER THEN 7A.M. Trash and recycling will not be collected on these holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. Holidays occurring in the summer (May 7 - Sept. 18) will not affect trash or recycling collection. Trash AND Recycling will be picked up every week on Monday's. Use of plastic bags for trash is strictly prohibited, unless inside a container with a secure lid. Grass and lawn debris MUST be placed in a paper-bag not plastic for pick-up. To report a complaint regarding trash/recycling pick-up, please contact Borough Hall @ 609-522-4845 The contractor for the Borough's trash collection should not be contacted directly. All complaints or concerns should be directed through Borough Hall in order for the Borough to maintain a records of complaints and dispositions of those complaints. The public works will not pick up anything that is not listed above. Tire Amnesty and Propane Tank Recycling 9:00am to Noon Cape May County residents and *businesses can bring up to eight tires FREE. Tires may be car, truck and tractor trailer tires with or without rims. Additional tires (over 8) will be accepted and charged as follows: car and truck tires at $1.00 each and tractor trailer tires at $5.00 each. Obsolete barbecue propane tanks will be accepted at $5.00 each. *Businesses that buy, sell or haul tires are not eligible for this program. Proof of residency required.
